In November 2011, law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges, unveiled a new sculpture by Antony Gormley. Entitled ‘Hinge’, the piece is comprised of two interlinking figures, and forms the centrepiece for the atrium of its new London offices.
Designed specifically for the space, the two figures invite the viewer to draw their own conclusions on their ambiguous relationship, whilst also aiming to change visitor’s first impressions.
Joe was commissioned by The Times newspaper to photograph ‘Hinge’ to accompany an article by Edward Fennell. He was the first person to photograph the sculpture prior to its unveiling and his photographs were vetted and approved by Antony Gormley in person.
If you would like to visit ‘Hinge’, it is open to public view during normal office hours at 110 Fetter Lane, London, EC4.
